best place for backpackers??

hi. I come from Vietnam, we are planing to spend 3 weeks in Ukraine and would like to know the most popular backpackers destinations couldnt find any info. on the internet so any suggestions would help a lot...we are going to be there 15-20 jan. 2009 and want to spend some time on the beach..what will be the weather like

Sorry I don't mean to sound rude but I can't stop laughing.
There probably is nothing mentioned about backpacking in Ukraine on the internet but it will tell you all over the internet that at the moment the temperatures in Ukraine are below freezing as like with most of Europe and will be no different in January. If you want to go backpacking and sunbathing on the beach in the snow then you are a braver person than me. You might become a FrozenDuck You are better off visiting during the summer months and I would recommend Crimea, Odessa or if you like the mountains then the Carpathian Mountains in the west.
