My family and I are wanting to visit Crimea/Ukraine this summer. As this will be our first visit please could somebody kindly educate us on the best types of currency to take with us. We are from the UK. Cheers.

Hi Matador
Welcome to the forum. You can take British £, US Dollars or Euros with you to exchange into Ukranian Hryvnia. I recently found that not all banks etc would exchange Pounds so I had to search around a lot more to find somewhere to change them. Every bank was exchanging Dollars and Euros. The exchange rate to the Dollar wasn't as good as previously but the Euro seemed to be ok. Have a great trip to Ukraine.

Because of the amount of US dollars and euros in circulation in Ukraine, exchange booths can be found all over any busy section of town. Rates are generally as good or better than in banks, and the service is quicker.
